We wanted Star Trek, but we got Shadowrun.

Housing, food, energy, education, and vehicles have all massively accelerated in cost while wages stay the same. We’re plummeting toward a crash in the US.

That chick should be mad. 3-months salary for him would be like $27 billion.

Rebrand: Vote Blue, because what else can you do?
Yep - red party is actively hostile. Blue party is cowardly or outright wearing red undershirts under their blue suits.
We need primaries and general election wins.

Ah, yes, the old argument of “you live longer, so the billionaires get to own more of your time”.
No. How about if I get to live longer, I get to enjoy my tiny little bit of time longer? It isn’t scarcity by nature - it’s scarcity by design.

I’m seeing online that it can be emulated (assuming PC is what they’re referencing in the post), but I’m not seeing it directly through Steam.

If you have an Xbox, by some miracle they have it available, and it’s $5. I highly recommend it.

Guardian Heroes was an outstanding RPG beat 'em up on Sega Saturn. It had
a two player co-op storyline with branching choices to get alternate endings
unlockable characters for a 6-player arena mode
incredibly unique characters to unlock, spellcasting with ➡️⬅️⬆️⬇️ input
and a kick ass soundtrack.
Nothing has really scratched the same itch since (yes, I’m aware there’s a sequel, but it’s terrible).

Try out fudepens too. Fountain pens, but with a brush end. Sometimes they’re refillable (my preference), sometimes they’re not. They make them with actual bristle brush tips, but also foam tips like calligraphy markers.
I’ve come to really enjoy them.

How many times does this gotta happen before we start calling them missiles instead of rockets?

I’m not dismissing its use. It is a useful tool, but it cannot replace experts at this point, or maybe ever (and I’m gathering you agree on this).
If it ever does get to that point, we need to also remedy the massive social consequences of revoking those same experts’ ability to have sufficient income to have a reasonable living.
I was being a little silly for effect.

Normally, I work from one side to the other in pairs like below:
XX
OO
OO
OO
OO

I face the heavier side toward the door so that I will have the majority of the weight in my hand as I pick it up.

So we’re going to depend on AI, which can’t reliably remember how many fingers humans have, to take over medical science roles. Neat!

Because Wyoming not?

I don’t see why we should judge our associations by viscosity.
Jodhpur pants?

I play classical style guitar. I joined a community here, but I was the only post.
I agree that it’s rough out there finding communities with common interests.
