The other reply to you nailed it. NAZA is the doctrine of “eh, civilians in the way? Fuck 'em.”

Theoretically, the US does not have this philosophy. In practice, I’m not so sure our hands are so clean… but with the IDF, it is an actual philosophy.

NAZA is a military acronym derived from the Hebrew term nezek agavi,[4] and is used by the Israeli Defense Force to indicate the number of civilians expected to be killed in an airstrike as collateral damage.

It is a military philosophy not unique to the Israelis:

However, the IDF specicially refers to it as NAZA, and considering the Palestinian genocide, as well as the similarity to “NAZI”, I think it’s an appropriate insult to hang on Israel.

It has recently come out, by the way, that Hamas wanted to return the hostages on the same day they took them - telling Israel just don’t invade Gaza and we’ll send them back and we can start negotiations. Israel chose to lie about this. So while Hamas might have blood on its hands, Israel is purposefully comitting genocide. To me, that’s at least an order of magnitude worse.

Well no it’s a general statistic in militaries but modified with a religious obligation. It’s not just something that happens to them it’s something that happens and God accepts which is not unlike the crusades or Nazi obligation to sweep the land for breathing room.

The thing with the Israelis is that they are specifically targeting civilians. So perhaps, arguably, it’s not NAZA that is necessarily a thing so much as they fact that they are specifically targeting civilians - similar to how Russia is. So maybe I disagree with the “NAZA” label because that is a statistic not a philosophy… I think I’m not gonna worry too much about it because I like the “NAZA”/Nazi similarity since I think Israel deserves the moniker because of the irony of losing six million in WWII only to now be genociding the Palestinians.

Also, life is stupid. Because of shit like this.

That’s a different policy that also has religious undertones and they’ve already admitted they utilized the Hannibal directive on Oct7 which is why there are so many Israelis with wounds made with Israeli weapons.
