    they make what sells.

you may want that, but most consumers these days don’t. they like open world games and adore remakes.

Not to mention most people playing these games haven’t played them in the past. n64 only sold 33 million units, worldwide, over 6 years. switch 2 has sold 23 million units in a single year.

It will definitely sell, that’s not in question. But how much longer are we going to do this? It’s been remade twice. Halo has been remade twice. Are we really gonna go for a third time in 10 more years, STILL with no original content? Or nothing good at least in Halo’s case. At some point people who were going to play it will have played it. And it’s not inaccessible. You can fire up an N64 emulator on any old phone or computer. A decent one will emulate the 3DS version.

It’s not that I don’t see the value in it, but it should have been done a long time ago. I’ve played it at least twice. I’m not going to play it again. When do loyal fans (or anyone mildly tech savvy) get rewarded with something new? And what happens when there is no more nostalgia to huff because we stopped making things?

because people want to buy it.

I love it. I love being able to re-play these old games.

you realize you are only one person right? and millions of other people disagree with you, at least judging from sales numbers on these.

nobody is forcing you to buy or play this game, for sure. plenty of new games are also being made, you can go buy the new kirby they just announced today. i’m not sure why you think nintendo should only make the zelda game you specifically want to play, that’s a bit nutty isn’t it?

Judging by the number of people who aren’t buying it, billions of people disagree with you. The number of people on the planet goes up, the number of people with this console goes up, of course the number of sales will go up. This isn’t an argument for anything. Random trash slop will also sell to some people, increasingly, that doesn’t mean you’re correct.
