In terms of YouTube, I would use Peertube and Odysee or perhaps, GrayJay. Mastodon instead of Twitter, I don’t even need Facebook so nothing for Facebook, I’m a pirate anyways so I don’t even need Netflix, Amazon. I don’t need Apple in any way since I use Android. If there’s no existence of even an Android device, then I would either use a Linux Phone or just Linux on desktop. Brave Search or Mojeek or others instead of Google. Ask Brave (it’s American so I guess it’s not counted), Deepseek, Qwen etc. instead of ChatGPT. I don’t use Tiktok so nothing here. I would probably spend just a little bit less time on internet (mainly because of disappearance of YouTube). For me, not much would change other than the YouTube experience. I predict I would most likely watch TV channels more once again due to not finding enough enjoyable content.

I determine it by analyzing their attitude, behaviour, body language, their personal beliefs.

Technically, Manga and manhwa ARE Books. So, if I round it up, I read books on pirating sites.

They should revive the “Family Computer” thing in families once again. Way better than handing them their own devices

Best solution IMO: Don’t let them use social media. If they really need to communicate, just buy them a SIM and or let them use your phone and SIM to contact them directly.

And if you must let them use social media, set up parental controls on your router. I suggest NextDNS for this. And basically, monitor everything your child watches or interacts and engages with. If they’re using YouTube, check their accounts to see what content they’re consuming.

Personally, I have tried many search engines (Google, Startpage, DuckDuckGo, Ecosia, Bing, Mojeek, Presearch etc.). And so far, it’s the best one I have used. And on top of that, it’s not Big Tech and it literally has an independent index which means it doesn’t rely on Google or Bing for it results. So I personally highly suggest it. It also has an AI overview (powered by their own AI) like Google but pretty useful unlike Google. If you don’t like it, you can disable it though.

And it also has its own AI called “Ask Brave”, which is totally up to your choices if you wanna use it or not. I’m just letting you know.

I’m a user of Brave Search and I get reliable information with every search. I wonder what kind of information you’re even looking for though. And Wikipedia is still pretty reliable for me… Maybe try Brave Search instead of Google?
