Except that even if your commute is 20km that’s still going tonlast you all week. Obviously there are other trips to make but it’s definitely not stopping 99.9% of people in the middle of their commute, or even their workday, to charge.

No, it’s just arresting visible minorities and sending them to another country’s “prison”(read: hell-hole death camp). They’ll even do it to US citizens! At least one Republican was calling for that Bishop, who was from New Jersey, to be deported, even, and there’s the current situation with the guy in El Salvador who is very likely dead. Visible minorities are met with disproportional amounts of force from police far more often than white people even if they’re innocent and complying. And do you really think that the prison labour camps in the US are only slavery if someone was wrongly arrested? Newsflash, I don’t care what you did, prison is a bad enough sentence without being forced to work for pennies in terrible conditions.

The Uyghur situation is far more blatant and official but don’t kid yourself into thinking that the US isn’t doing the exact same shit. You should not need it in writing when the actions are all there in front of you and many times the people who built those systems basically admit what their true goals were. Do something about now, don’t wait for it to be enshrined in law.

Wait, did they think the bathrooms were special and cost money? Many places just slap a paper “gender neutral” sign on their washrooms and call it a day until a nicer sign can come in. The really good places knew this shit ages ago and already saved themselves the trouble by putting in a shared sink area and having stalls with real doors. As someone who has literally had to fit washrooms into floor plans I can guarantee that if cost and ease were problems then we’d only have gender neutral washrooms.

You don’t think air force bases have these things ready to go? Or use them for their own reasons?

Ya’ll if you had one tenth the imagination and creativity to think of good ideas as you do bad ones the world would be a much better place.

Don’t forget their police who don’t have any kind of proper training so precincts have to find training on their own, which often leads to some pretty fucked up stuff. Themes will likely include making cops feel less like community protectors and more like “warriors” who are closer to Batman than real, engaged community support. Also those same cops have one helluva rate of domestic violence.

And then they’ll see people say stuff like that and start calling out corrupt police in some of the worst places on Earth as if the “greatest country” should be proud of clearing the lowest bar. It’s maddening because you can’t even talk to them without them getting hyper-defensive and angry.

Bro just let them be upset. These people suck, the people enabling them suck, the general fact that it’s a dumbass religious excuse sucks, and the fact that this is completely “normal” for our species extra sucks. Not 100 years ago the very recent ancestors of Israeli Jews were super prosecuted and victims of a holocaust and now it’s 2025 and…they’ve learned absolutely nothing from that experience and are trying to wipe out an entire ethnic group.

It’s like, if you can’t expect genocide victims to understand that genocide is beyond reproach then where does that leave the rest of this place?
