I mean, probably the ones who have an internal locus commit suicide at some point unfortunately. The fluidity of relationships today and people connecting by tech significantly increased the transactional aspect of modern life.
Gender wars are the easiest form of manipulation, you just need to get the extreme cases make a straw-men argument and generalize for both men and women to radicalize new people.
The article illustrate the Hypergamy concept. The men in that case might feel inadequacy after leaving the traditional role of breadwinner, which caused cognitive dissonance in his leftist views and make him vulnerable to the propaganda.
Some projects try to use a funding bar, that is shown to the user, when the funding is in risk the users know and donate more. The nag screen is effective, but if you are a donor already it can become somewhat annoying.
Thanks, that’s very useful, I noticed that the the donations are a in a low amount compared to the rest of the income, but it is more stable, if possible could you share your experience with the ko-fi platform and donations? Do you think it is an visibility problem, since it’s hard to break from dev sphere to mainstream?
I always imagined some sort of IP royalty, like you have an idea and implement it, then if someone build something over it for profit they need to pay a fixed percentage otherwise it would be free to use basically.
What about a modular software, a base version and the modules are paid ? It would maybe avoid ramification? And the user would have more freedom.
Cloud services or features monetization are interesting, I’ve seen some companies do a community or a local version and the business version with more features.
I agree, I’ve noticed that there is a push to make people think of AI as human to increase the acceptance, some media(movies, series…others) are stopping to depict it as a danger and more like a guardian or even a sentient companion like it could cross the programming and become human, it’s complex how vulnerable we are to projecting ourselves over other beings or things and develop parasocial or codependent relationships.
Is this really fine? Should we see AI as human?
People do this because they feel somewhat censored to express actual hate I guess.
They are scared shitless and try to make he feel bad as they are feeling using words that matter to him, even if for them doesn’t mean anything.
It is bad to body shame regardless, but it is more an accessory to the objective of making people feel heard and seen since the other options would be complete chaos, riots and actual hate.
You are right, but in a competitive society all criticism will be labelled as envy of the wealthy and only considered if it comes from the same social class, but to reach the same social class a person changes and becomes similar to other wealthy people.
Anyways not all elite is the same since some just inherit and mantain some ethical values because of that, but they are a minority inside of a minority.
Do you guys remember when internet was the thing and everybody was like: “Look, those dumb fucks just putting everything online” and now is: “Look at this weird motherfucker that don’t post anything online”
