the left is literally about creating a stateless society. The term ‘left-wing’ comes from the French Revolution in which members of parliament who were against restoring the monarchy sat on the left side.

maybe have a look into left politics and theory before establishing that an entire philosophical set of ideas is ‘authoritarian’.
