Sorry I don’t want to talk to you with that watch on.
“Slop me, mommy!” is the command.
I don’t know how they can make this legal in a Two Party Consent state. Even if the raw recording is not made available to the user, it is still recording people without their consent. Additionally, I don’t know if “summary recaps” of recordings fall under the same laws as raw audio recordings.
As much as I would absolutely love to be able to go back and re-listen to conversations to make sure I remembered important information (my wife gets pissed at me for forgetting things all the time), this is a privacy nightmare.
LG tv sort it out by making the reponsability of the user to announce to anybody cooling to your home, be aware the tv listen you. It s litteraly in their term of service
I saw Gamers nexus explaining this recently. They said that if if you’re able to hear what the other person is saying then fair game as they can’t reasonably expect privacy, but if they go into a room or car then you can’t use sensitive equipment to record them. Essentially use a mic with the sensitivity of a standard human ear
True in a single party consent state, but its a felony to record conversations of others without their knowledge in a two (or all) party consent state.
Fair enough. I think in most of europe it isn’t even allowed
How do I disable
More relevant every single day.

Hold on guys, I need to ask the AI what my opinion about this is.
So, it listens all day, records everything you say or anyone near you says (regardless of their permission), and transmits it to a central server for processing, then returns an AI slop edition?
And those who have one paid full price?
Ew. No.
Apple learning from LG and put their own icing on it. Disgusting.

This is Apple’s glasshole moment.
Where’s all the people from here now who praised Apple and vowed their next phone will be an Iphone after Google announced their mandatory developer verification?
Give me the source code or it’s not running locally on device!
Great, now we can shout questionable phrases around these wiretaps so their owners’ AI puts them on a watchlist.
