      Often times there’s no distinction between sick time and leave. So if you take a day off because your sick that’s one less day for a vacation.

      Some jobs don’t even give you leave. You don’t work you don’t get paid.

      You actually don’t have any guaranteed sick leave. Some companies will give a few days to you for exclusive sick leave, some will require you to use your PTO, some (like my current) require a doctor’s note for any sick leave use, some don’t.

      Now you start to understand how COVID spread so fast here.

      You’re right, and that’s IF you’re lucky enough to be granted sick leave. It’s not a legal requirement. I, for example, have none. When I’m sick I don’t get paid.

      That’s just so insane. How are people ok with that like, “yeah that’s fair, I want more conservatives to run my life because they’re making life harder for me and rob me of any sense of reciprocal goodwill towards society! USA USA USA!”
