    I thought this was satire but looked up mr. macintosh and it’s real. Dude, are you on death’s door? No time to wait for the bananas to get ripe?

    To be fair - If they are platanos - I wouldn’t buy such green plantains because those fuckers are green, green, green for weeks then yellow but not ready and I forget about them and miss the one day they are ripe.

      My first rule is if they’re conservative, take it with a grain of salt.

      If they’re a white conservative, less of that.

      If they’re a old white conservative, of fuck off. No opinion of theirs is valid.

      You just described avocados except on a longer time scale. Avocados are a like “Sike! I was ripe at 12:56 pm and it is now 12:59 pm. I now no longer ripe.”

      Depends on what you’re making with them, but for maduros I agree. Gotta get them when they’re spotted brown.

        Yes, I like them in the Cuban style, almost overripe, fried in butter, then a little salt. So delicious. Luckily the stores around here do put out both green and ripe platanos.
