Iran says it has exported more than 40 million barrels of crude oil since the U.S. removed its naval blockade two weeks ago.

Tehran is now selling oil at a 20% premium: chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

Iran has agreed to let ships transit the Strait of Hormuz toll-free for 60 days under an MOU with the U.S., but said it will retain control over the waterway’s administration.

A very successful war by all accounts. Iran is doing well and everyone else is still dealing with economic chaos. Well done Donny!

It would be awful if they used the extra monies to buy/build some very precise and deadly weapons that they turned on the US politicians who dared attack them and burned away the bulk of our ruling class in glorious jihadthe flames of justice … terrorism.

I’m not optimistic enough to assume that Trump didn’t get what he wanted out of this, in some way. His friends certainly made bank on crooked betting apps.

I know its yet another flip flop on a trump campaign promise which in itself should cause him to lose favor with his supporters, but we’ve all been around long enough to know how much they forgive him for screwing all of us. I will say that I live in a fairly red area and for months after the election many people around here left up their trump campaign garbage (flags, posters, yard signs, etc). However since the Iran war began almost off of that is gone now.

I’m hoping this will be costly to trump in the midterm elections and that we can get a congress that actually acts as a check on executive power instead of a “blank check” for anything on trump’s horrible xmas list.

I mean, the US has successfully controlled almost every other state in that part of the world. Iran has been uniquely resilient to American influence, but “controlling anybody over there” is one thing global superpowers tend to be good at.

I mean Egypt? Check. Jordan? Check. Saudi Arabia? Check. Some others like Iraq and Qatar are definitely dubious, but still it’s telling that Iran is America’s only geopolitical rival in the Middle East. This would’ve been unthinkable 50 years ago.

I mean, your ruling elites certainly do. You’d be able to tell immediately if that ever stopped being the case. The fact that it’s not acting in your interest or according to human rights is a consequence of the fact that America’s ruling elites don’t care about your interests or human rights.

So how does one tank this deal for maximum profit? I’m thinking they cashed out short positions and are buying into long positions on oil for thr next big spike
