It’s not my thing and I truly don’t get it. That said, I’m curious about the initial draw, how you started and why. What does participating look like to you? Do you consider it an interest, hobby, kink or some combination/something else? I support you doing whatever you like so long as everything is legal/consensual. I haven’t read them yet, only seen the covers. I’m currently reading a book series with similar themes of people shifting into animals though, “Echoes of the Fall” by Adrian Tchaikovsky.
How is it?
I read animorphs as a tween and enjoyed the stories, and then reread them as an adult and was horrified by the themes. A story of child soldiers getting fucked up from fighting a guerrilla war for years. I’d recommend them!
It’s good, especially from the 2nd book onwards. Takes place in quite a unique fantasy world that’s based on bronze-age tribes rather than the usual pseudo-medieval society you get in fantasy.
I’ll check them out!
