Dug holes to harvest potatoes today. Found a big rock, a really long & fat worm, a centipede, and some little isopods, 10/10 experience. Nice to see another hole enjoyer here.
Same here there was 500 worms
Oh no! A pile! The hole’s natural enemy!

This is the kind of quality content that keeps me coming back for more and more.

https://youtu.be/34CZjsEI1yUThank you! That’s all I was thinking when I saw the hole.
You have some autocorrect typo there:
“That’s all I was singing when I saw the hole.”

I’m lazy, so I prefer No Diggity
No doubt
You should put a post in it
Came to ask “where post?”.
That really is a shitty post.
Postcrete is the best invention since the barbeque tongs.
Soft to rock solid in next to no time at all… giggity.
5yr old me: China here I come!!!
That ground looks so satisfying to dig in. Like it would actually yield to a shovel. I’ve spent my entire life in Southern California and our ground is hard, dry, and filled with rocks.
All soils yield to me
Where I live the ground is rocks with the gaps between filled with dried clay. Literally a 2 to 1 ratio of rock to clay in some spots. Closer to a soft concrete than actual soil once you get more than 6 inches down. So the shovel doesn’t actually dig as much as it just scoops out the shit I beat loose with a tamper bar.
Sometimes I feel like the only guy on the Internet who sees these digging posts and thinks “I’ve dug enough” lol.
Pro tip: water before you dig. Water the ground for a week or so before you dig, this makes it much easier to dig through, and cuts down on the excess dust.
Look at this guy, knowing a week before he needs a hole.
The difference between first and second degree murder
Nice!
Once you get deep enough there is literally no dust as it contains about 30% clay and is very wet
In the Midwest where it looks like you dug that hole, sure. But where I, and the previous poster, live nope. Lots of sand in the soil out here, and if you dig deep enough, you hit granite.
Sandy soil huh ive never heard of that oh and also I live in east tenesee it’s a weird place for sure.
It is!!
Bigger
Correct
More hole
Should’a put a tarp down for the dirt.
You could hide things in there, like gold, or fried chicken, or a copy of Windows 11, or face masks. These are just a few things you could hide in that hole, use your imagination.
A bone. - a dog
Nice hole, dude.
