My 70 year old boss and his 50 year old business partner just today generated a set of instructions for scanning to a thumb drive on a specific model of printer.

They obviously missed the “AI Generated” tag on the Google search and couldn’t figure out why the instructions cited the exact model but told them to press buttons and navigate menus that didn’t exist.

These are average people and they didn’t realize that they were even using ai much less how unreliable it can be.

I think there’s going to be a place for forums to discuss niche problems for as long as ai just means advanced LLM and not actual intelligence.

Too bad it’s not retroactive, but it seems cool to at least start

Because it’s the only other thing about that system at all. OP wasn’t teaching, just showing what that system does. If you looked for a source that explains it you’d be told

It’s not unreasonable for a woman to avoid putting herself in a situation that a potential predator can take advantage of or retaliate against her for. Talk to a woman you know about this. I’m tired of having this conversation with men who don’t understand and just get offended.

You have been on the receiving end your entire life if you are a man, and 9 times out of 10, you have not noticed because it does not affect you. It’s not about you, especially if you aren’t a predator.

I’ve been in a handful of conversations over the last couple weeks with men on this platform that don’t understand the concept that women have to treat men a specific way for fear of the few of them that can be violent.

Apparently watching out for your own safety as a woman by treating men differently is sexist and completely unacceptable.
