“Where we all goin?” - Dog probably
I wonder if the dog was anxious, like “why are we all running away?” or if it was the greatest day of their life.
That looks like a Labrador / Bloodhound mix. Both have a lot of running in their DNA. And labradors are particularly communal. So very probably “greatest day of their life”. They finally found some humans who understand the value of a good long pack run. Haha.
Sled dogs are crazy. So much stamina.

That dog in the picture though. Betcha anything it didn’t start at the beginning but just joined later in the race. Little cheater.

While most of us these days are obese, humans as a species are capable of running indefinitely. Because of that, we could hunt faster prey by simply tiring them out
I know about humans. A sled dog would not prosper on the savannah. Humans are everywhere. 34% of the global mammal biomass is humans.
