      It says 10 million ryō, which is an old currency unit from Japan. The 10 million is written as 1000 (千) 10,000s (万) and those characters together can also mean “a whole lot” rather than a specific number

      I think it might be those Japanese oval gold coins that you find on a maneki-neko, which are the lucky cat figurines.
