The US never abolished slavery and has the largest prison population per capita and absolute numbers by a wide margin for the purposes of exploiting their labor. It’s an absolutely wild statement but like I’ve said before, the glass houses they’re supposedly in were bulldozed a decade ago. They don’t care.
