No. US media was talking about it as they pushed narrative. Americans, who live and die by their social and news media feeds, then started copying that, as usual.

They don’t think for themselves, they just follow their feeds and timelines. If their feed stops talking about Epstein, so do they. If their feed starts talking about Iran, so do they. Literally that’s all that happened with the tan suit and why the ballroom is nothing.

Hell, scroll through Lemmy’s ‘Hot’ and ‘New’ feeds while the US is active if you need to see it in action.

This… This is a link aggregator website. It exists to link to external sources and discuss them. I’m sorry did you think this was Original Thoughts dot com?

No, This is politicalmemes and a comment section anywhere is for expression and discussion, but especially more common for memes. Kinda the whole point of the culture of it existing.

What I do think is you’ve given an excellent example of irony… dot com; or whatever.

You literally specify about Lemmy’s Hot and New feeds, why would you try to bluff about only talking “memes”?

It’s ok to be wrong some times. Bit embarrassing though to, 2 comments lower, claim you meant something else.

The point was never about a specific feed. It was about people following whatever their algorithm or curation drops into it, rather than thinking independently.

I don’t know what you’re on about, but that’s the argument. One that wasn’t even at you.

So if you want to challenge that, great. But pulling apart the wording and ignoring the substance ain’t engaging in the idea.

It’s ok to be wrong some times.

Look, honestly, that sounds like either projection or a line that’s worked on you before. It’s normal that everyone’s wrong a lot of the time and I think most people know that of themselves and others. I have no idea why you’d profound that out of no where unless you’ve made it a “who’s right; who’s wrong” interaction in your head somehiw. And if it is, peace out! Fuck that shit lol
