I’ve heard there are numerous genes which affect intelligence to some degree or another, has this been debunked?

That’s a lot of eugenics bullshit truthfully. We’ve not found a genetic component for conservatism and anyone on the left or authoritarians to libertarian idealists. We have found some potential brain markers that one side has more than the other but this could be more likely of environment. If you’re brought up to be afraid all the time you’ll have a greater sense of fear overall situation which affects development. There have been studies that show lower empathy scores and higher activity in fear response sectors of the brain show a greater trend toward conservatism. Again though, these are not 100% either. It’s a trend at best, not a scientific fact.

Seems reasonable to me that since the brain is very complex and genes that affect structure and development would give some individuals advantages or disadvantages. I mean if early childhood nutrition can influence intellectual ability, genetic factors playing a role isnt that ridiculous.

You made the claim that IQ or general intellectual ability is not heritable, but this was widely regarded as true not that long ago. Please cite sources for your claim.
