“Freedom of the press” is a funny little phrase because it doesn’t specify who is free to do what with the press… As it turns out, billionaires are free to buy the press, and gatekeep it from anyone who might challenge them.
Just like “freedom of speech” meant only for the speech the administration/free speech absolutists likes.
