My family is in the lodging and motel business, and we would get unhoused guests occasionally. One time, my brother offered a free room for a Vietnam vet, but the man said he doesn’t want anything for free. Americans do terrible war crimes in every war, but I don’t think any disabled person or elderly deserves to die like that.
