The Last of Us Part 2 has amazing voice acting. Part 1 as well, but the second game goes beyond.
Only Uncharted 4 feels close to that level (unsurprisingly, considering it’s from the same studio).

So, in the end they turned off the thing that caused this whole mess and everything is still working.
What’s the point of having it, then?

Just a suggestion. You might want to look into getting a decent chair and foot support first. Something like a cushioned office chair, the more “executive” looking ones, where even the arm support is cushioned.
Sit at your current desktop with what you currently have, and write down all the measurements that feel comfortable to you. More important: floor-to-butt, butt-to-head, and butt-to-elbow, width of chair (space between elbows). Whatever chair you get, make sure your head and arms are supported. With that, you can look for a good office chair that fits your particular measurements.
The leg-foot support, if it doesn’t exist for your measures, can easily be done with wood.
I had this stuff done, and nowadays I “lounge” on my desktop. I tried the handheld way, and ended up hating it. The couch makes me lean forward, my arms can’t hold the device for long, and most of the games I play look too small on the screen.

It’s honestly a bit worrying. I’ve been noticing the same trend with cars, where the user has less and less control and knowledge of how their car works.
And I think, contrary to the apparent end goal (to simplify things), this makes everything extremely complex, and it’ll bite us in the ass.

I don’t get it. Can I tell it to move a file from one folder to the other? Can I ask it to give me a diff of two folders? Or tell me if files are missing from one folder? Can it keep a sync between folders? Last time I checked, it only answered a bunch of simple questions.
What can this thing do that they keep trying to push it so bad?

There’s a few uploaders that cross post in the more known public torrent sites, who have always uploaded MP3 320 and FLAC. Some of these websites also have ways to distinguish users who are trustworthy, and the music section shows they upload a lot of stuff. Whenever I want to download music, I seek this sort of user out. Never fails.

Kind of wish they’d do a cross platform game (that you can play at home). I don’t want to buy a Switch just for Pokemon.
Edit: and yes, I’m aware of which community this is, but after GBA I never had much luck with these games, and haven’t kept up. Not sure how functional they are (especially on Linux).

I agree with you. I don’t hate math, I just hate the way I was taught it. I’m not diagnosed, but I’ve long suspected I have ADHD or autism, and so anything that isn’t interesting to me I tend to just obliterate from my mind. If I had been taught math through video games or game programming, or something like that, I would have paid more attention.
It happened again during college, with a professor just shouting his lessons, and not really giving any practical examples. I almost failed, until I went on YouTube and found many professors giving very good explanations, with visuals and such (this was almost 15 years ago, when YT was less algorithmic; even the comments were helpful).

The only thing I actually liked from Cosmic is the ability to remove rounded corners, which is something I hate that we’re forced to endure in every single UI at every single level. Even KDE seems to lack that, even though they give a few options for the UI. (Edit: I mean, as far as I saw on Plasma, KDE doesn’t have the option by default. Maybe it can be added or something, but I didn’t see anything in the settings to indicate I can remove rounded corners.)
Tiling is just not to my liking, but maybe it’s because I don’t use huge monitors, so every time I tile a window everything gets bunched up or cut off. Maybe I’ll think differently when I move from 24" to 27", who knows. I ended up disabling tiling and stacking in Pop! OS 22 and just use vanilla GNOME snapping when needed. Stacking also adds a horrible tab UI that can’t be edited (say, make it vertical instead of horizontal), as far as I know.
So, to me, the DE just doesn’t add anything different or extremely necessary. But of course, I can only speak for myself, my tastes. I’m generally very picky and an outlier in most things, so I’m not surprised other people find those things to be essential.

I feel like it was a huge mistake on their part to try to make a whole DE rather than work on a bunch of GNOME extensions, but now they’re trapped and can only keep working on it. I don’t dislike Cosmic, but I just keep asking “why?” every time I look at it.

I never understood how to install any of it. In the time it’d take me to understand any of it, I’d have found 200 torrents. 😂
It kind of reminds me of my attempts at automating a simple, repetitive task on the desktop, and in the middle of it I’m like “fuck this!” and just end up doing it manually, and faster.

DualSense (PS5) for me works right out of the box, especially in PC ports of PS games. It’s USB-A to USB-C, so no prop cables.

Any difference in edition will be obvious in the runtime. If the movie is 1:29:43 in the theatrical edition and there’s a special edition that adds some time, say, a total of 1:47:13 runtime, you’ll want to ensure that the Latino audio you’re ripping is of the same edition. But the English and dub tracks will always be the same length for the same edition. Generally the Wiki articles of movies/shows have the runtimes. Or the fandom wikis.
Afterwards you can just merge the audio and video tracks into one container file (MKV, MP4, etc.).

For countries where the currency is unstable, stable currency is a way to protect one’s savings.
Where I’m from, historically you’d save in USD. But in the last few years, the market has imposed dumb obstacles, like the paper notes being completely unblemished (something that isn’t even a thing in the US, as far as I’m aware). That’s where stablecoins have been useful for the locals.
Edit: This is an explanation, not an endorsement of crypto.
If you work for someone, they should be providing the license for you.
If you’re a freelancer, it should be part of the costs that you get back as you work. $60 for a perpetual license is honestly not that steep and shouldn’t impact your prices much.
This is one of the main reasons I don’t pirate anything but audio and video anymore (and even then I’m cautious). It’s really not worth it.
