It kinda depends on the company, but with growing seniority it will become less and less actual coding. I spent less than 50% of my time on coding. The rest is meetings, coordination with team or stakeholders or other teams I need something from, answering questions, brainstorming, writing specifications, writing technical documentation, research on tools or technology, staying up to date on tech, testing stuff, reviewing other peoples code, root cause analysis, etc.

Actual coding for me is very rarely copying anything. AI assistants made searching for code snippets mostly obsolete. Also, very little clicking is happening. Even the graphical interface we usually write in code (no designer is used).

What does this have to do with .NET? AFAIK all the programs mentioned in the article are written in JavaScript, except Calculator. Which is probably Swift.

You might want to highlight what differentiates it from Obsidian, except being open source. Just from looking at the page, I don’t know what it means to have organization capabilities from Notion?

I cancelled it when they started to crack down on family plans with separate households. It just wasn’t worth the money to me anymore. I wonder how much more price hikes the remaining customers are going to tolerate. At some point it becomes cheaper to just outright buy music…

I like being able to turn on a movie or TV series I enjoy while doing some exercises at home.

Having to go somewhere with that annoying workout music blaring 24/7, needing to wait for equipment to become free… just not for me.

I have stopped using the “All” feed for that reason, it’s best to find communities that you’re interested in and only look at those in my experience. Finding them without the All feed is the challenge though. I’ve found Lemmy to be quite nice when it was new, but it seems this is the way all communities go when they reach a certain size.
