anti-anti-AI ≠ pro-AI, it assumes there’s only anti-AI and pro-AI and nothing in between.
And the wording was clearly about the anti-AI mob as opposed to people who understand the dangers and benefits of AI. It’s similar to the difference between a Gamer™ and a gamer.

But they didn’t say anything pro-AI. At most they were anti-anti-AI mob, which is just reasonable, as is with any “mob”. And I read mob here as mindless parrots that keep repeating talking points and hating for the sake of conformity.

Same. Vol. 1 has a couple of nice games, but the 2nd one should have all the real good stuff.

I’m not just playing, I’m also seeding* eXoDOS and eXoWin95.

What a weird argument. People preserve all the digital games on consoles, too. The only somewhat fair argument would be that it’s slightly easier to preserve games on PC, but really both have their own challenges. On PC you’re fighting DRM, on consoles you’re fighting the OS security to break in.
The only real excuse for digital only is DRM free, where you can backup your installers.

How?

Mostly home computer. But I don’t see how that’s relevant.

Why not? As a kid I already knew the ins and outs of the OS better than my parents and could fix practically any tech issue.

Not sure what you mean. Are you implying that because on occasion some people will lose an AirPod they are somehow worse than vape pods that are designed to be disposed of within days after first use?

Compared to a vape pen AirPods have insane life span. It’s still bad, but not even in the same ballpark as something you usually throw away in a week or so.

You’re allowed to comment on any aspect of a post. You also don’t have to read the articles you don’t care about.

It’s literally on the thumbnail… There’s 5 well known AI products and this random thing. Are they trying to make it seem that it’s on the same level?

Sometimes Lemmy crowd really confuses me. Am I supposed to know what Poe is? Is it not ok to make a joke at its expense?

I had no intention of reading the article. But why we you so antagonistic? Are you the creator of Poe?

Wtf is Poe? Is this an ad for Poe?

Why did they use a screenshot of Chrome from, like, Win XP times?

I didn’t say I’m not online, but I’m not “terminally online”. Also, IMO “most people” are more online than me, they just don’t read/watch informative stuff.

This probably doesn’t matter, but I’m neither terminally online nor am I from US. And I do recommend everybody to watch John Oliver, it’s usually relevant to everybody.
You are just using a very narrow definition of intelligence to mean exactly human-like intelligence. All intelligence is signal processing and pattern recognition. You can give LLM a novel task and it might complete it. Sometimes even well. Sure, you may argue it doesn’t “understand” what’s it’s doing the way humans do (seemingly), but it’s still intelligence of some kind.
