Don’t do it. It’s his body. Apart from medical issues it should be his choice. And bullying always finds a way and is hard to influence from the victim‘s part. You can only help in raising your child to be a confident person that is sure of your love and knows they can talk to you about anything.
I‘d say that caring for yourself is an important step towards caring for others and having the strength to do so.
There is a great song by the German punk band „Team Scheiße“, „FA“, with the refrain „Bist du anti Antifa, bist du Fa“ which translates to „If you’re anti Antifa, you’re fa[shist]. A bit simplistic but true.
And this is how you further damage democracy and strengthen the far right. Because a lot of the people who don’t vote or vote for the far right are people who feel left behind who are of the impression that the system is broken and they don’t benefit from it. Social welfare is a way to directly show everyone what a democratic state is good for. Policies that benefit the poor, the working class and the middle class make a strong society. But Merz and others simply don’t seem to get it or care and stare in wonder at the ever rising numbers of people who want to see the world burn.

If I know, I‘ll probably pass someone asking for money, I try to have some change prepared, so I don’t have to get out my wallet. (Where I live, there are just a few places where that’s likely. ) I usually just say no if unprepared. My basic assumption is that someone asking for money in the streets is worse off than me, so it’s nice if I can help. But then again, if I don’t feel safe, I won’t give anything and since I can’t help everyone I don’t feel bad not giving anything.
Just adding to „It will take a while“. It would be faster if you‘d been fit before because the body remembers. But you should feel strength improvements and you should feel better quite soon. And clothes might be less tight. But visible results take longer. And after a while you’ll hit a tableau and you’ll have to power through that without giving up. It will be best if you don’t focus on looks too much but rather on feeling good and fit. Kudos for starting this path!
Well I have OK experiences with Brother printers (in the EU). They complain about third party ink but accept it, if you use their ink, you can send back the used cartridges free of charge for recycling and they are just the ink containers and don’t include the printing head (if that’s the right word). They don’t immediately break after the warranty period. And even their ink subscription seems to be reasonably priced.
