We would not have life! Water is a polar molecule that is very different from most other liquids. Its the specific surface tension properties that help to create life. The reason why we search for planets with water. We’ve never worked out a way for any life to exists without the amazing H2O.

This should be like when Japan started turning out cheap and reliable watches. The best safest and most cost effective products must be available for all. In the UK there’s a huge market growth in EVs from Kia and Hyundai, (Korean), Volvo (Chinese), MG (Chinese). Recently BYD has taken the market by a little storm. Traditional manufacturers like Ford, BMW, VW etc. all late to the party, and only just catching up. They have been protected.

Because it’s all too easy to abdicate responsibility, let other people look after you and be a shit. If we empower any sort of crappy behaviour, that behaviour grows.
