I buy for my family of four for the week. I have to buy them in a gradient from just-ripe yellow, to green as can be. Every time I hit the store I buy some that are this green.
Estonian here, they usually show up moderately green in the store, oftentimes they’ll still have the yellows from the last batch out when they bring in the fresh green ones. I prefer them a little green, I don’t actually like yellow.
Just to add a data point, I don’t know how green they come in the US
Also the ones on the photo are apparently plantains, which are much greener than cavendish bananas. Our regular bananas are never THIS green.
I know they ripen much more after etc.
But I was wondering do you guys frequently buy them this green still? The ones on offer around me are way more yellow already.
Maybe it’s a difference in how supermarkets in the USA vs Switzerland do logistics or something, that’s why I’m asking.

It varies. The bananas in the picture are particularly green though.
