It’s not going to take long until Linux is better at running Windows games than Windows itself, especially for older games.
On some hardware and software combinations, this is already true for even recent (2020+) games

DXVK really works around a ton of issues and oddities in older games that Windows and gpu manufactures barely, if ever, fixed.
And all because Valve hired/pays the guy who started it as an attempt to play Nier Automata on Linux (which itself is a fairly janky port)

There’s a browser version based on the decompilation: https://isle.pizza/
Ooh, nice. I’ve been wanting to play Drakan again. Gotta bookmark this for when I can get the game files, lost my original cd ages go :/
Now that’s a game I’ve not heard about in a while… It was pretty awesome. Now I need to check if I still have it as well.
I have this broken game in my backlog for decades now, I wonder if this will make it run this time. Hexen II, according to Steam it was released back in 1998.
Doesn’t that run on the Quake engine? Might be better to see if any of the source ports support it.
Have you tried Hexen II: Hammer of Thyrion? Luxtorpeda may have it.
Would love to have CRT shaders for this. Playing in 640x480 is the way to go!
This is so cool
