They’re certainly losing some mindshare, but they seem to be replacing it with more crude forms of dominance. e.g. the EU is offering concession after concession in response to tariff threats.
The EU (and other countries) are doing whatever to pacify the orange moron in the short term. At the same time they are reworking their entire economies and supply lines to cut the U.S. out as much as possible for the future.
I mean, did he ever claim to be progressive? I thought progressiveness is “woke”, i.e. bad according to the MAGAs.

Sounds more like he’s saying that democrat policies are useful to him than that he was progressive. AFAIK the Clinton admin was the opposite of progressive in economic terms.
He did try to run as a Democrat. And he tried as an independent.
