Tarrifs still put trading partners at a disadvantage because it becomes cheaper to source from non-tarrifed countries.

That is a true statement but I am just pointing out that by trading with China they are also trading with Russia. Russia needs to isolated and right now so does America and I live here. We need to pay for our hubris.
