I’m really well stocked as well, so reading your story I wonder how long it would take for me to get through it all. I have been trying, but not hard enough. I am aiming to move overseas within 2 months so I’m not taking any of it with me. I’m sure I can give some of it away but I really need to try harder to use it up.
Im also currently well stocked Dairy free stroganoff Chicken pot pie from home made bone broth Chili casserole Alfredo or other pasta combos Birria or carne asada Ham and brussel sprouts and potatoes from my garden
I don’t spend money on anything, I don’t have many vices. Food and drink are my only real ‘guilty’ indulgence. Plus I stocked up the pantry a bit the last several times there were supply chain concerns. There’s a couple dozen things I could make right now and could likely feed several people for a couple weeks if needed.

It didn’t occur to me to use duck fat for fondant potatoes! I have some fat in the freezer oh hell yeah
I have some leftover burger patties and chicken from a couple days ago so I plan to have some leftovers. But I keep a well stocked freezer and dry pantry too. Right now what I am working on making is chicken pot pie filling, the chicken meat and broth is from a leftover slow long cooked Costco chicken. I make the filling and freeze it, and keep crusts in the fridge most of the time so it’s really easy to assemble.

Yeah that choice of words didn’t sit right with me either.
And that says nothing about rejuvenating on days off. 2 days off can be enough if you have someone available at home (not working or only minimal hours of employment) to maintain food supply and chores. If you don’t have that one day off gets spent catching up laundry, lawn and home care, fixits, shopping, etc. One day off isn’t enough time to overnight anywhere, to tire yourself out doing anything you are passionate about, and there is in fact more to life than working, chores, and resting.
I have worked as assortment of jobs over the years, and I think anything past 6-7 hours a day becomes overly draining. In my 20’s I did retail, and I was fine at 6 hours/ 25-30 hours a week. Got hours increased and found it hard to be decent at home. Paperwork is similar, but if I mixed in some on site / driving around I could stretch it a little. Only job I could work 40 fairly consistently was forklift in warehouse work. Sitting, consistent breaks, mental focus that was fairly diverse with downtime. Staying on a single task for 8 hours, day after day, is torture, especially if it involves mental or emotional stress.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but once I get my kids out all bets are off.
Idk, this seems to be Europe getting an excuse to deploy in assistance to Ukraine. Im not assuming to be able to predict what will actually happen though, you could be right.

It is very much in the interest of all of Europe that Ukraine not fall. The writing is on the wall. Russia will eventually come for them all.
In every moment we have a choice, and it’s always worth hoping that with knowing better we will do better.
