Maybe after windows 8? Last time I can remember.

Honestly about the same as I did with crowdstrike, the AWS outages. It’s not a good idea, could lead to ruin, people won’t diversify, Goto step one. It’s easier to just have a sensible chuckle and move on at this point.

I keep hearing people wanting steamOS, but it’s just gonna be another distro. I think it’ll be good, it might have decent support and be moderately stable, but you can have that experience like already, in a few different places. Not perfect, but the option is a few bugs or constantly having to battle Microsoft trying to spy on everything.

Good to know people are just as stupid the world over.

Right? It’s a huge bridge between x86 and ARM, it just opened up a potentially huge market for lower power consumption gaming devices. You could have like a Gameboy that runs silksong or something.

Tons, my favourite is being very young and having my Nana read me thomas the tank engine stories on a bench in the garden.

I’m gonna be real with you, I think it was always like this, we just weren’t as aware. Similar to how there’s suddenly a lot of neo Nazis, racists, etc

I don’t believe it is if you know what you’re doing, but not as easy on Linux.

My partner has had a really bad time trying to run cronos. We thought it was initially Linux problems, it’s the first game on her new rig. Turns out the game just has those problems on windows

I remember reading they did port this to windows, using the same kind of process, but it was originally only on Linux because the forking process was so easily implemented.

Such a brain-dead stance on the matter. Nobody is asking for your garbage DRM servers, we literally want the opposite of that.

I’m gonna be that guy, most of them are in some way or another. The devs literally decided to not bother pressing the button that enables compatibility because they don’t feel like it.

Depends on the situation, but I’ve had a game work on bottles where it didn’t quite on steam. It’s slightly closer to running a full vm than proton alone is, and can help with dependencies in rare cases.

I ran a fresh win 10 vm to debug an RGB mic, and it was surprisingly how much garbage it shoves on you on a fresh install. ads, OneDrive, bunch of crap. Linux by comparison is much nicer to deal with.

Yes, but wouldn’t we be using % of your vision vs pixels in display? Steam deck being right in front of my face and tv 5 or 6 metres away etc.
Absolutely higher res does look sharper though, which is great for movies etc. I’m more coming from a performance vs visual fidelity ratio. What I’m trying to express is that given 800p still looks surprisingly good, I’m starting to question the industry pushing higher resolution displays for gaming applications.

Honestly after using the steam deck (800p) I’m starting to wonder if res matters that much. Like I can definitely see the difference, but it’s not that big a deal? All I feel like I got out of my 4k monitor is lower frame rates.
Do you think any of his supporters stop and wonder why they let him win the third election after faking the second?
Yeah, most of that is on purpose. They fucked the search engines.
