  • Get another OS on a bootable USB—Cachy, Ubuntu, whatever—and install over Pop. This is like a 15 min process. The hardest part is making a bootable drive, you’ll just need access to another comp to throw another OS onto the USB, but then you’re done. Hell, use it as an opportunity to try out some different distros lol

You just need something on there that is 1080 friendly because you currently do not.

You could troubleshoot, but the best way to beat a broken fresh install is with a better fresh install, since you’re already there.

Once done, deal with whatever Window’s issue is after that, if it even still has one. Use GRUB moving onward.

I’m uite the same on land ones. I admire the ingenuity of the view. Seeing wind turbines and solar farms on the landscape is nice; cool, even.

People that don’t like them, I just don’t know why. Maybe they had a traumatic interaction with a desk fan as a kid.

  • “This is not just a fictional fear. Donald Trump did this to Ukraine. He threatened to withhold, and did withhold, parts to the F-16 fighter jet radar and left the Ukrainian Air Force in a lurch,” he said.

    Yup.

Trump is loosely adopting the subscription model. Agree to the new TOS or have services withheld. On top of F-35s being far too costly than the USAF had ever wanted, as a JSF it’s a confusing jack-of-all trades; master of none, and so there’s obviously much more sensible options elsewhere.

When the end goal here is national defence, one needs to consider how it will be ultimately impacted by entering into a “deal” with the current USA. It’s entirely expected nations will browse on by and shop elsewhere

  • Let’s say that you’ve just significantly upgraded your GPU. If you were getting the most out of your CPU with your previous GPU, there’s a good chance that your new GPU will be held back by that older component. So now, you need a new CPU or some percentage of your new GPU’s performance is wasted. Except, getting a new CPU that’s worth the upgrade usually means getting a new motherboard, which might also require new RAM, and so on.

This guy’s friends should keep him away from computers and just give him an iPad to play with.
