The growth prospects for Intuit are poor. They can basically try to upsell you harder while you’re using TurboTax. I sure don’t like the idea of AI being involved in my tax preparation, though

Why should Ticketmaster get anything from a resale?!

I think since the book was written, they’ve also discovered Martian soil is full of perchlorates, which would kill pretty much any life on Earth

I don’t disagree, but my points still stand

No argument here

MacKenzie Scott actually helped found Amazon, she married Bezos before Amazon even existed and literally worked on it with him from the very beginning. The whole idea that she married into wealth or “got it from the divorce” reeks of sexism.
She’s also rapidly giving away her money with no strings attached, and she’s supporting underserved communities all over the US. The HBCU in my city got a massive grant from her that’s totally transformed what it will be capable of, for example. I just don’t get why you’re choosing this person to rag on out of all the truly vile billionaires out there
What does this even mean? According to this article, Palantir was selected for this contract in a rushed, no-bid process several years ago
“UK Government Ends One Of Palantir’s Contracts” would be a more accurate headline

Do you have a source on Feb '22 being some kind of turning point regarding covid restrictions? Having lived through COVID as a healthcare worker, I recall the timeline pretty acutely, and my memory is lockdowns were almost universally over by summer '20, the first vaccines were administered on a large scale in December '20, and activity increased progressively throughout 2021.
Meanwhile, the gas price spike occurred immediately after Russia invaded Ukraine, and concerns about oil supplies were plastered all over the financial news of the day

The sudden spike in prices that immediately followed Russia invading Ukraine had almost nothing to do with the economy

*war in Ukraine
Edit: You people are insane with these downvotes. Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Look at a graph of gas prices and see what happened right after that. The war in Ukraine was directly responsible for the gas price spike in 2022

Amazing pic

Straight women visiting gay bars are fine. Bachelorette parties using gay bars as props are not fine

Yeah but much of the stuff that’s being traded on today lacks a body of evidence with which to make an informed prediction and is essentially random unless someone has insider knowledge

Just a heads up that there’s no such thing as “insider trading” on these betting markets. All of this is perfectly legal, and the platforms actually depend on insiders to improve their “predictive” accuracy. It’s also legitimately impossible to fully regulate this (besides shutting them down altogether, for which I’m totally on board) due to the sheer volume of people who have access to a bit of insider info

I was quoting Weird Al, don’t shoot the messenger
Fabuloso

I recall the time they found some fossilized mosquitoes, and before long, they were cloning DNA
Is that through QuickBooks? Seems like there’s a lot of competition in that space too, though I’m not very familiar with it
