Now that I think about it, why does Trump tend to praise countries like Russia and China, when they haven’t even given him any Nobel Prizes?

I only got four hours of sleep last night, and it’s miserable after only one night.
What do you expect from a country that replaced Trump with Trump?

Glancing over the rest of the comments, I don’t see somebody explicitly pointing out how we know Trump is full of shit and also dumb as shit in this letter.
First, he campaigned on “America First,” so he never felt an obligation to think “purely” of peace. It’s just a lie.
Second, he’s outright saying that he previously was giving the Nobel Prize committee an insane amount of control over American foreign policy because he wanted to be a Nobel Peace Prize. This is a dumb as shit thing to admit.
Third, is it Russia or China who we’re worried about taking over Greenland? Does Trump not understand that these are two different countries? Surely if he is working on some sort of intel, he’d specifically choose one of them to be worried about. I think this demonstrates that there’s no real intel about this, and he’s simply lying.
Fourth, why isn’t he waiting until Russia or China actually do something? If they actually did something militarily in Greenland, then America could swoop in and save the day. And then, he’d also have some actual reasoning behind statements that he could use to justify taking control of Greenland.
Also, NATO has done tons of stuff for the US. Why does America have the largest military budget in the world? It’s because America has chosen to maintain military presence all over the world. NATO has always supported American foreign policy.
Everything Trump is saying in this letter reeks of bullshit.

One reason that people are stupid is because rich people need slave labor, so they set up a system where people don’t learn to think for themselves.

It’s good to aim for the stars. I think there are a lot of goals that we can achieve to move the needle a bit.
I say this as an old guy who owns a house… The housing market needs to crash. We need to build a ton of affordable housing. As an alternative to renting, we need the government to directly provide rent-free housing to people in need. It’s difficult to invest in something when people can get the same thing for free.
All of these fully leveraged asshole investors need to lose their entire portfolios. The housing market needs to crash, so that young people can afford to buy their own houses.
If that doesn’t move the needle enough, just keep building free government housing. That’s my theory.

If you watch to the end you’ll see a guy who learned to murder a POW in cold blood, though.

Maybe the rest is porn.
As you say, tools are just tools. Even a dumb phone and CD players are “technology.” You can use a hammer to build a house, or you can use it to break into a house and kill the owner. The tool itself really doesn’t hold any sin.
Some people prefer to use older tools, though. It often gives them more of a feeling of connection, especially if we’re talking about the things they grew up with. So, there’s nothing wrong with choosing older technology just because you feel like it, either.

My sometimes evangelical, sometimes pentecostal aunt, who is in her mid 70s, says that she truly believes that the rapture will happen in her lifetime.
I think that is why she’s always so excited about wars and how she supports Trump even though he ticks so many “Antichrist” boxes. Because all of that stuff proves to her that we’re in the end times and that she’ll be raptured in her lifetime.
If we don’t hurry up and end the world, then that would mean that she might die, just as if she’s not the most important person in history, which doesn’t make any sense to her.
They’re ecstatic about giving the world’s least trained and most incompetent police force the power of life-and-death over them.

It reminds me of when, in his first term, a wheelchair bound veteran gave Trump his Purple Heart, and Trump’s response, if I remember correctly, was, “I’ve always wanted one of these.”
Trump couldn’t even pretend to care about the veteran and just made it about himself.

The confederate statues weren’t of the low-level soldiers who actually did the fighting. They were of generals and presidents and shit. Shitty people have already made shitty statues of Trump, so we’re already there.
The sad thing is that people don’t even argue points. I wish people who lacked knowledge and wisdom would argue. Instead, they just rebroadcast whatever propaganda they were fed most recently, untroubled by anything like critical thinking or introspection, and mostly unchallenged by their peers.
I suspect that the louder a person talks, the more likely they are clueless about the topic.

If a home invader breaks into your house, and kidnaps your sister, then says, “I’m taking her out to my van. I’ll be right back to kidnap you next,” you’d be freaking out, yes, but it would be weird to say that you’re freaking out because of the precedent.

Just because they’re man-made distinctions doesn’t mean that they cannot be discussed or don’t have beginnings.
Maybe a homeless man pointed a cat toy at the plane and blinded the pilot.
