The Farseer trilogy by Robin Hobb. It was my first experience with what could be considered a “grimdark” or where things consistently go wrong no matter how well the protagonists achieve their goals.
It was just a constant stream of the main character getting shit on and failing the people around him (despite doing his very best not to) without any successes. I think I got through two books before I finally had enough.
I’m sure people enjoy it, and it’s well written… it just did not fit me at all.
When farmville was king.
“The West” 🙄
Unless you were black, a woman, LGBT, on the spectrum, developmentally disabled, Irish, “Un-christian”… the list probably goes on but I’ve run out of things to think of.

Which is one of many aspects of romantic attraction.

The people currently in charge of US foreign policy have more than made it clear how two-faced and opportunistic (and fascistic) they intended to be.

Did the US reject your prom invite or something?

Korean, actually

Just got a car and it is driven by bear. How can this be?

Worked for the US after WWII.
Well… for a while at least.

Only winning play is to not.

And this is news to people?

There’s also a cadre is society that wants people to ignore any other viable strategies in favor of theirs, because they’re too close-minded to ever consider an alternative.
Just because you want to hit people over the head until they agree with you doesn’t mean that’s the only solution. It’s just the only solution that doesn’t require you to think about the consequences of your actions.

Socialism would do what the majority of people wanted it to do, it’s not a benevolent entity the marches through society and fixes everything. It’s merely a tool for society to use to more directly appease the masses needs.

That’s the same with socialism, though.

I think violence should be the last resort, not the first, when speaking of revolution.

It’s definitely the excuse they use to justify it.
It’s just surprising how many people fall for it, including those critical of it.
