We both know it’ll be residential areas Israel targets. They already blew up a residential area in Tehran in their first attack.

Iran has many remote areas that are populated. Their military equipment is decades behind, and Israel gets all their equipment from the US.

The comparison here is very stark; in a single strike Israel managed to cripple Iran’s nuclear program, kill a lot of leadership that has been around since their revolution, and completely eradicate all of their radar and early warning systems on the West side of the country.

The best response Iran has? Just over 100 drones. Most of them got shot down before they even reached Israel.

Israel gets a free pass on bullying anyone they see fit in the Middle East.

I don’t believe anyone is saying Iran is capable of doing it, just that it’d be a good day when it finally does happen.

Israel has all the best toys from their sugar-daddy America. Of course a handful of out-dated Iranian drones won’t do shit.

The majority of Internet infrastructure runs on either something Linux based or something FreeBSD based.

A lot of the tools used are also various flavours of open or semi open source.

I’d say open source already has success. Just not in places where you see consumers using it. Except… Wait a minute, Android is a fork of Linux, and Android is open source too.

I would argue that switching to an open-source model for all your tools is more globalist. Open source projects are being maintained by people all over the world, and any group or branch is allowed to modify and redistribute their personal version of any project.

It’s the opposite of being subject to an ever growing corporation you can’t even put checks on. Every government using the product of a single small group of massively rich corporations is giving said corporation unprecedented power over the world.

Local libraries here and there in Copenhagen have already switched to Manjaro. Haven’t heard anyone complain about it.

The first computer I had for myself was an MSI gaming laptop with a GTX 950m GPU. It was pretty shitty. Overheated immediately, so when rendering only the first two frames went quickly, but then it slowed to a crawl. Same with games. Everything ran badly on it because it would just jump to 99°C and immediately get throttled. Damn thing idled at nearly 60°C.

The first computer I remember my family having was one of those very colourful Mac desktop computers.

I still have one. No these ones specifically don’t have wireless capabilities. Later ones do, though.

We, today, understand how to power something wirelessly. The problem is it’s horribly inefficient.

Australia was gripped by some of the worst wildfires in history, and it was said that, while wildfires are inevitable, climate change contributed to the scale of them.

Saw loads of Americans call it alarmism, abd not an issue because it was just Australia.

Then the next year America was gripped by some of the worst wildfires in history. Suddenly those same people were wondering if it could be that climate change thing.

Russia never stopped being capitalist. They had a communist party for a period, but actual communism was never achieved.

And yet emissions got worse, and capitalism is making advertisements to over consume everything. One is not isolated from the other.

Also, kinda weird to suggest that industrialised economies were not capitalistic…

Which are two things capitalism thrives on.
