Honestly I don’t understand how Google is such a valuable company. They are absolutely useless for so much shit.

“automated”
There is noaccurated and efficient automation when it comes to people. Sure you can flag some phrase that gets sent but unless you know the person there is no way you can say if it’s a real threat or not. You will need someone to go through months of messages and phone their friends and family to understand if it’s a real potential threat or just a joke/dark humour/bad day.
Having automatic phrases or words that might alert FBI about an imminent threat is just stupid.
If anything put them on a watchlist where an investigator is sent out, but that’s it.

Don’t see why they can’t just have locked down WiFi networks so only staff and school equipment can use it and then have some sort of localized cell phone jamming that automatically turns off if a fire alarm or other alarm is triggered for emergencies.

So the actually useful product gets shit down for the useless product

Birders can be weird. Some can get very competitive, not surprised some would make fake images to pretend they saw some rare bird in an area they aren’t normally seem or something.

I would say that they should just get taxed at what ever the price is on December 31 or January 01.
If you lose money you can claim it as a loss just as you would when you sell for a loss, up to a certain limit.

It’s sort of the risk you take when buying a property with an easement though. Their realtor should have disclosed that.
If it wasn’t there when they bought it the utility company should have had to at least pay market value for the land.

It doesn’t violate constitutional rights as long as whatever the camera can detect/see would be the same as a police officer. If it has a license plate reader and face detection or whatever it’s unconstitutional because an officer probably wouldn’t have been able to issue a ticket if it were a person there instead of a camera. If it’s something like an obviously missing seatbelt or phone use seen through the window at a reasonable angle it’s constitutional.
I don’t understand the “face an accuser in court” argument. It’s a photo. You argue about the photo with the judge. The photo is your accuser.
It’s almost like 70 year olds shouldn’t be elected state representatives since they can drop dead any moment.

Probably all of them

So it can let me filter out any brand that is in all CAPSLOCK? or has no vowels?

And yet Zelensky is also traveling the world meeting leaders and going about his day in full view of the world.
Russia’s assassin’s must have lost their edge

Well there are games where I absolutely cannot justify paying for unless there is a sale or waiting for it to go on discount due to being super old.
However I still don’t pirate them just because they are priced too high if they are steam because I know eventually I will still have easy access I just need to be patient.
Cae in point this summer sale a game that came out 2-3 years ago I finally bought because it was 50% off its original $100 price tag (CAD). Finally felt it would be worth it.
Never pirates it became I knew steam would provide easy access and an eventual sale.

I mean, I’m all for replacing physical items as it reduces physical plastic waste.
But it does put the onus on consumers to pay for the storage rather than the manufacturer and prices for digital are not any lower than physical so all it does is save the manufacturer money, not the consumer. If it resulted in a 10% decrease in game prices that would help.
The other issue however is that manufacturers do not guarantee a download will be available forever. If that were guaranteed there wouldn’t be an issue, as digital games often need to be re-installed if a bug or error occurs.

I wouldn’t mind social media if it didn’t allow the uploading of photos/videos/images etc. text only and chat functions. That way you can still have group chat, pages to organize events, etc.
Just don’t overthink it. Grab some seeds and a bag of whatever soil fits your budget and get something growing.
Gets something growing and then branch off from there. Introduce fertilizer if you think you need it. We don’t bother. Soil longevity? You running a science experiment? Plant stuff. If you start to have issues, look up how to fix it then.
You won’t get the perfect 20 year garden right off the bat. Experiment, fail, learn, adapt.

Valve should make a false initial sale then “run out” causing scalpers to stock up then all of a sudden “find” a bunch of extra stock to start selling immediately after the first batch runs out.

Eh, I think even if it’s 99.9999% they should still round down to 99% to give the reader the knowledge that no it’s not actually 100% even if it’s miniscule. 99% is still super impressive. 100% means one thing and one thing only.

He only admires male far-right leaders
Probably fire a few people so they can maintain their giant bonuses for executives
