Yeah, really expensive mistake if you put the wires in the wrong place.
I was replacing them on a vehicle recently and I felt fine about it. Neighbor came over and told me he swapped them wrong years back, said the engine rattled so hard the engine blew, took the plates off and walked home.

Well to be honest, because we made laws to make it so. If he had been born a plank of wood, and never spoke, walked, or did anything. He would be a billionaire today. We made bankruptcy laws to make sure the rich couldn’t become poor by accident. Set bankruptcy at 10% of ones net worth, and every billionaire would fight it. Say you can sell a company was worth 1.4 billion, you can declare bankruptcy and it will cost pennies comparatively. The people who lose their houses are struggling, the companies don’t lose anything but a oops.
No one, and the city has not asked them too. When someone puts up a sign by the road that says “Slow Children” they don’t pay the city for it, and most people do NOT own the land between the sidewalk and the road, they just mow/maintain it out of moral obligation.
The city decided not to renew the contract, they need to make another action to ensure their removal, or construct a law about them for them to actually be “illegal”.
I mean if we are being real they voted to not pay to renew the contract, and people checked to see if they were still there when the the contract ended.
No where was it mentioned the date the cameras were required to be removed by, nor what would happen with them.
A good comparative we have seen in the U.S. would be direct tv. If you cancel the service and the contract ended on June 29th, Direct Tv doesn’t come out and remove the dish from your roof that day, they leave it there and it’s your problem.
Cleveland likely needs to start a lawsuit against the company for leaving their products on their property and if they aren’t removed by a set “reasonable” date schedule someone from the city to remove them.
Really I’m sure flock is just hoping to get them to pass a separate contract so they don’t have to move them to another city
We could have “free” healthcare by paying less than we pay today.
We are simply getting ripped off at every turn. For some reason there are a lot of people who think it should cost out the ass for basic care you can get for much cheaper. And it isn’t because it is “higher quality” like some claim. A white woman is 2x as likely to die during pregnancy in the U.S. than if they were in Canada. A black woman 6x. So it all ends up being about money/class.
Think about this. The U.S. provides free X-rays for 2.5 million people and their luggage every day, by a federal department that didn’t even exist pre-2001.

Our health care system is set up to milk every penny they can from the people. We could cut the costs so much that it actually is funny. If it was made illegal to provide health insurance in the U.S. and it was illegal to overcharge on medications and procedures, our healthcare system would get better for the majority of the population.
I still use jerboa quite often but have been considering moving. It worked well for a couple years but the last month or two there are stupid things like, not being able to scroll back up through the comments where it’ll get stuck, or if I collapse a comment, and try to reopen it the content is blank so I have to exit the comment section and reopen to be able to the top of the comment section and start over. If it is a long comment thread you then have to scroll slow because if you miss the comment you collapsed by accident you can’t scroll back up to find it because the first problem. At that point I just give up on that and move on.
I made a post about it in the jerboa thread a month ago, it appears to be happening to more than just me, and across multiple devices, even someone on graphene said it was happening to them.

The issue is that they are NOT doing this for healthcare costs, or any other reason other than telling others what they can do. If it was for healthcare costs, it would be everyone, so you can rule that out from jump. So why did they say 18 and under, because they weren’t sure if they could get a large enough following to say yes is they went to high, so divide and conquer. Find enough people who don’t care about the minority, and they can get it to pass. Why 18… Because they mostly have no say. If we relabeled it to non-whites can’t buy cigarettes, people would be like woah that’s racist, but the attempt would be the same, trying to control what others can or can’t do while not restricting enough of the majority to lose their votes.
Under 18 can’t smoke is like saying under 30 can’t cat call people on the street, under 40 can’t slap their coworkers on the ass, under 50 can’t beat their children, and under 60 can’t rape minors.
Either they are all bad/wrong for society… and should be banned for all, or they are manipulating votes as a plot to slide something else by under peoples noses while playing it up to look like a good guy

Top trading patterns of Israel go #1 China, #2 U.S. and everyone cowers and lets it happen because they let it happen. If either cared, they’d stop all trade and Israel would be forced to stop
Figure it’s to get closer range detection of any launch sites/areas. If Iran responded it a gives out their locations, b makes them look worse on the world stage and c it shows others that it isn’t a threat to sail through, all the while actually being one

I assume they were thinking of Jefferson, but he would have been more of an agnostic (maybe). He just thought the virgin birth was bullshit, Jesus was some guy, and the point was to believe in caring for others basically. Apparently he just took all the miracles out and said, people should treat people better.
