  • Asking “which is better, PRC or USA?”

yeah, no shit fewer and fewer people choose the USA.

    Fucking idiotic poll.

But that doesn’t mean that I don’t see what China is doing - spreading propaganda & money & influence everywhere.

Preference for China strongly correlates with age: the younger the respondent, the more likely they are to welcome Chinese leadership

This was my impression too, esp. right here in the Lemmyverse.

the regular both-sidesism I see on lemmy

Not so regular, and it usually also gets removed pretty soon. There was one yesterday that claimed that democracy is just as bad as autocracy, it’s gone now.

And who said jews? Tut-tut, that’s just a man with dark hair, a big nose and a devilish grin! (edit: apparently an /s is required here)

To groups, it seemed clear that KlammereFyr was violating a rarely tested part of copyright law that protects artists’ “integrity” by shielding their “moral rights.”

Following his confession, the Court of Frederiksberg convicted the Redditor, sentencing him to a seven-month conditional prison sentence, followed by 120 hours of community service. Next, the Reddit mod will face a separate civil lawsuit to determine damages, which could be substantial. Rightsholders are seeking between $2,300–$4,600 per nude clip, TorrentFreak reported, putting the maximum possible award above $1.5 million.

  • They all look so devilishly happy 😈

I get my US news mostly from lemmy and there’s been a definite uptick of Epstein files info articles since maybe 2 days ago; what actually happened?

    edit: just found this article:

A trove of more than 20,000 of the late sex trafficker’s papers were released Wednesday by the House Oversight Committee investigating Epstein’s crimes.

But how? And why now (and not much earlier)? Is this part of the administration not dominated by Republicans?
